6. Quran Content Integrity
The Quranic text displayed in Tilawa is sourced from verified, scholar-approved databases (King Fahd Complex). We treat the accuracy and integrity of Quran text as an absolute obligation:
- Quran text is presented as-is from verified sources and is never modified programmatically

You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app

8. Intellectual Property
The Tilawa app, including its design, code, AI models, logos, and branding, is the intellectual property of Tilawa and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
The Quranic text itself is the word of Allah and belongs to all of humanity. Our presentation, layout, and associated metadata are proprietary.
9. AI & Recitation Feedback Disclaimer
Tilawa's AI-powered features — including recitation recognition, Tajweed analysis, and memorization assistance — are technology tools designed to assist your Quran learning journey. Important disclaimers:
- AI feedback is not infallible and may occasionally produce inaccurate results
- The Service does not replace a qualified Quran teacher (Mu'allim/Mu'allimah)
- Accuracy metrics (e.g., Word Error Rate) represent statistical averages and may vary for individual users
- We continuously improve our AI models but cannot guarantee perfect accuracy
10. Community & Social Features
If you participate in social features (study groups, challenges, community feedback), you agree to:
- Treat all community members with respect and Islamic etiquette (adab)
- Not post content that is offensive, misleading, or contrary to the purpose of the app
- Report any inappropriate behavior to our moderation team
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate community guidelines.
11. Educator Accounts
Educators using Tilawa's teacher features are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from students (or their guardians for minors) before tracking their progress or accessing their recitation data through the platform.
12. Service Availability
We strive to maintain the Service's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Offline features will continue to function without internet connectivity as designed.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tilawa and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the app is revoked, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tilawa operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
